 Meet Gargoyle

Gargoyle has truly blossomed into a sweet, fun, and loving dog. He’s a 1-year-old, 43 lb, neutered mixed breed who is partially blind and deaf—but don’t let that fool you, he’s figuring out the world more every day.

The best parts about Gargoyle:
• Loves to cuddle and be close to his people
• Big fan of tug-of-war, squeaky toys, and squeaky balls
• Enjoys chewing on bones and keeping himself busy
• Does great meeting new people—he just wants pets and attention
• Sleeps AMAZING through the night in his crate (no accidents!)
• With a routine, he’s fully potty trained

He’s come a long way—his jumping is now minimal, and his barking is mostly just how he communicates (when he wants to play, eat, or go outside).

Because he is partially blind and deaf, he sometimes startles with loud noises and can bump into things while he’s learning his surroundings. Young children are not recommended. On walks, he weaves a bit as he navigates, but he does well overall.

Other Dogs:
Gargoyle is interested in other dogs and still learning how to interact. A calm, neutral dog could be a great match to help guide him.

Routine Matters:
He sleeps best in a dark room with a sound machine—it helps him feel safe and settle easily.

What he needs:
Gargoyle will need at least a week (or more) to adjust to a new home. The transition may not be perfect, but with patience and consistency, he truly settles in and shows what a great dog he is.

He’s still working on occasional excitement behaviors like light nipping (now very rare), but he’s improved so much and continues to learn every day.

Gargoyle is a really good dog who just needs a little time to feel safe. Once he does, you’ll have a playful, cuddly companion who loves being by your side

Gargoyle is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines and is heart-worm negative. He’s fostered in New Bloomfield, PA.
