Bio: Shujaa is a two year-old male Saluki that was born in the desert of Qatar and was rescued by a local rescue there called Paws Qatar. He was sent to the US to help widen his adoption chances. He is a very tall and beautifully feathered black Saluki, who is extremely wonderful and gentle with people, but plays too aggressively with other dogs. He is fine with cats. He loves kids. In fact, he loves people in general. Shujaa has limited vision in his left eye, but is fully capable of going in and out and using stairs and moving around furniture that has been moved. He’s never bumped into anything or gotten lost outside. He loves to run in our yard. He is a homebody, loves to be inside with his people, does fine in a dog park, but does not like walking on a road where there are cars or yardwork happening nearby, so he tends to want to be close to home.
He is fully housebroken and crate trained. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, and has a microchip. Because he is a large black dog with some vision issues, he has been waiting at his foster home for two years now. We love him so much, but he needs to find his forever home.
