I'm Jasper, the four-legged wonder with a tale to tell. My journey began in the small town of Baldwyn, MS. I don't remember much about those early days, but I do know I had to fend for myself. Somehow, I found solace behind a bank, nestled in the grass. It's a miracle I wasn't squished by a car or overlooked by passersby.
But luck was on my side. A kind soul spotted me and reached out to Jericho Rescued Fur Babies for help. That's when my life changed forever. They took me in, blind and partially deaf, but full of spirit. I do have a cherry eye that the vets here cannot fix. I was born blind and have eye abnormalities. My 3rd eyelid (the one with the cherry) is inverted. I am very smart and in just a couple of weeks he learned the layout of my foster home and backyard.
Despite my disabilities, I'm quite the smarty-paws. Navigating through a house is a breeze for me, just like any other dog. I'm even housebroken, if I do say so myself! And playing? Oh, I love it. Even if I can't always tell when my playmates wander off, the joy of their company is enough.
My sense of smell? Well, let's just say it's my superpower. I may not see or hear like other pups, but my nose knows its way around. Give me a huge fenced yard, and I'll sniff my way back home with ease. I just lift my nose to the air and follow the familiar scents like a furry detective.
Now, I'm on the lookout for a forever home. Despite my challenges, I'm ready to shower someone with love, loyalty, and a whole lot of sniffs. So, if you're in need of a canine companion with a heart as big as his sense of smell, look no further. I'm Jasper, and I'm ready for my next adventure.
