In January of 2024 Ray was in a rural Louisiana shelter. He was in an outdoor pen, as this shelter didn't have any indoor runs. A Good Samaritan took Ray in for a few days to shelter him from the cold weather. She contacted us and asked us to help him. Ray is a very handsome, sweet male beagle.

He has received these vaccinations = Rabies, Bordetella, DA2PPV+L4. He tested positive for heartworms and has been on Advantage Multi since coming to us in January 2024. He also completed a month of Doxycycline as part of the slow kill heartworm treatment protocol.

Veterinarians do NOT believe that Ray has been blind since birth. He uses a doggy door to go in and out. He gets along with female dogs and most male dogs. He loves to run and play with his beagle buddies. He does have some issues with certain male dogs if food is around, so it's best to feed him separately.

Ray is a very affectionate boy and most deserving of a forever home!!!

Ray is a sweet, handsome boy. A kind lady took him in from a rural shelter when she realized he would be left outside in a kennel during freezing temperatures. That would have been very difficult for Ray because he’s blind. He’s been vaccinated, neutered, and tested heartworm positive. He's accustomed to being in a crate. He gets along with kids too!!

It’s really pretty easy owning a blind dog. They get around very well.

He is currently with Hokie's Hounds Beagle Rescue.
